Throughout next week, families will be able to enjoy a variety of free outdoor theater activities in the heart of Leicester Square, as part of the popular Kids Week audience development programme.
From workshops on magic and choreography to singing and storytelling, some of London’s best shows give theatre-loving families and children a glimpse behind the curtain, sharing the thrill of live theater and celebrating the reopening of the famous West End .
The Children’s Week activities are part of the Mayor of London’s summer family events for the #LetsDoLondon campaign, encouraging people to return to the city center to experience the rich culture on offer.
The complete program of activities is available here.
Kids’ Week, which takes place during the month of August, offers free tickets to participating shows for ages 17 and under, when accompanied by a paying adult. Since going on sale with over 30 shows at the start of July, nearly 115,000 tickets have been sold – but there are still some fantastic deals available for a range of West End shows.
